computer ethics are simply rules and guide line to follow when using the computer to protect the social, ethical and value concern.

generally, the literature describes the social consequences of computing ,speculates of the meaning of computation and information technology in human history ,and creatively predicts the future path of development.

The Six Commandments of computer ethics have been defined by the Computer Ethics Institute.

  1. Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
  2. Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.
  3. Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's files.
  4. Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
  5. Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
  6. Thou shalt not use or copy proprietary software you have not paid for.
