"Digital marketing refers to the use of digital channels, such as search engines, social media, email, and mobile devices, to promote products, services, or brands. It is a subset of marketing that leverages digital technologies to reach and engage with customers." (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019, p. 3).This essay aim to talk about some of the advantages and disadvantages that surrounds digital marketing .

Advantages of digital marketing.

Digital marketing has become an essential component of modern marketing strategies. The rise of technology and the increased use of the internet have made it necessary for businesses to have a strong online presence. Digital marketing offers many advantages over traditional marketing, including the ability to reach a wider audience, engage with customers in real-time, and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Disadvantages of digital marketing.

Digital marketing has some disadvantages, including difficulty standing out in a crowded digital landscape, technical expertise requirements, potential for negative feedback, and high costs, particularly in paid advertising. (Smith, 2019).There are other disadvantages such as:
